1/35 French Light Tank H39
Tamiya is delighted to welcome the French Light Tank H39 into our 1/35 Military Miniature Series. We have sold Item 35282 (1/35 French Battle Tank B1 bis), Item 35344 (1/35 French Medium Tank Somua S35) and Item 35373 (1/35 French Light Tank R35) as the French Army tanks of WWII, so the release of this product means that the main French tanks of WWII are all in our line-up now! Before WWII, the French Army developed the H35 for the Cavalry and in 1939, the H39 appeared as the improved version of the H35. With improved cast pieces such as hull and turret, the H39 featured a 120hp engine and L/33 37mm gun, and it was in service in the German occupation of Norway in 1940. After the French surrender, German forces upgraded numerous H39 tanks and deployed them as a German tank.
